The BJP today released its manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The document, which underlines the party’s ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ slogan, outlines the Narendra Modi government’s vision and promises for every section of society. In the manifesto, Prime Minister Modi’s focus is on ‘Gyan’ – the poor, youth, farmers and women.
Here are highlights of BJP’s promises for every section of society.
For the poor
- Extension of Free Ration Scheme by 5 years
- Focus on self-reliance in production of pulses, edible oil and vegetables to stabilize prices and protect the plates of the poor.
- Ayushman Bharat scheme for free health services will be extended.
- PM Awas Yojana will be extended.
- Supply of drinking water should be delivered to every house.
- PM will provide zero electricity bills by providing free solar energy under Surya Ghar Yojana.
For women
- Extension of Lakhpati Didi Self Help Group initiative for rural women
- Integrating women’s self-help groups into the service sector and increasing their market access
- Develop infrastructure such as women’s hostels and crèches to increase their participation in the workforce.
- Construction of more toilets for women in public areas
- Expand health services focused on prevention and reduction of breast cancer, cervical cancer.
- Implement Nari Shakti Vandan Adhaniyam to ensure higher representation of women in Parliament and State Legislatures.
- Expand Shakti Desks in police stations and strengthen emergency response systems.
For senior citizens
- Expand Ayushman Bharat scheme to cover senior citizens.
- Facilitating knowledge sharing by senior citizens through National Senior Citizens Portal
- Ensure seamless access to social security benefits and other services at the doorstep
- Ensure senior citizen friendly infrastructure

For infrastructure
- Expand the railway network to increase the capacity to transport passengers as well as cargo.

- Continue the fight against corruption
- A Uniform Civil Code should be introduced as a guiding principle of state policy.
- Formulate a national litigation policy for speedy disposal of cases in courts
- Strengthen statistical institutions to drive data-driven policymaking.
For young people
- The law will be implemented to prevent leakage of question papers of competitive exams.
- Transparent public examinations will be conducted.
- Expand the startup ecosystem to promote entrepreneurship among the youth.
- Encourage start-ups in government procurement.
- Increasing employment opportunities in manufacturing
- Employment generation through infrastructure development
- To provide employment opportunities by expanding the tourism sector
For farmers
- 6000 will continue to be provided to the farmers annually.
- Use of technology will strengthen the crop insurance scheme.
- Will continue to increase the minimum support price of crops in a timely manner.
- Encourage production of nutritious vegetables, establish new clusters for production of essential commodities like onions and tomatoes and create more storage facilities.

- Periodic reviews of minimum wages
- Insurance schemes for organized sector workers and digital means to access them
- Expansion of e-Sharam portal to support workers in the unorganized sector, including gig workers
- Special trains will be ensured for migrant laborers during festivals.
- Better facilities for truck drivers on national highways
- For small business
- Readily available working capital

- Rules and regulations will be simplified for small businesses.
For global relations
