The Holy See Press Office reported that Pope Francis fell at his residence in the Casa Santa Marta on Thursday morning, with no fractures.

“This morning, due to a fall in Santa Marta, Pope Francis suffered injuries to his right arm, without any fractures.”

The Holy See press office announced the news in a statement released Thursday, explaining that “his arm has been immobilized as a precaution.”

Despite the incident, Pope Francis continued with his scheduled audiences, including a meeting with the head of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS), Nocefo Nosca-Jean Gezaile.
