At least four people were injured in a shooting in Washington DC, USA on Thursday evening. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, where authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, local media reported.

Three men and one woman were injured in the incident which took place around 9 pm. MPD reported that all victims were “conscious and breathing” after the attack, WUSA9 reported.

Two of the injured were taken to hospital by emergency medical services, while the other two reportedly made their way to a medical facility on their own.

Police said the condition of the victims was stable at the time of their arrival.

The shooting happened in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way Northeast, located just 500 feet from the NoMa-Gallaudet U New York Avenue Metro Station.

According to a report by WUSA9, police have not yet released the identities of the victims or provided any information about suspects or a motive.

It comes days after ten people were injured in a shooting Wednesday night outside a New York City nightclub that was marking a memorial for a teenager killed earlier in the city.

Police said three or four men fired about 30 shots into a crowd of people standing outside the Amezura Concert Hall in Jamaica, Queens, for a private event before running to a car and driving away.

Six women and four men, aged between 16 and 20, were taken to hospital but are expected to recover, police said.

Queens borough president Donovan Richards said the club was holding a small private event to celebrate the life of the teenager killed in Brooklyn late last year.
