Troy University has more students studying both online and on the Troy campus this fall.

TROY’s net enrollment this fall is 14,537. Enrollment at the Troy campus is up 2.5 percent from last year, with 5,924 on campus compared to 5,772 last fall. Online enrollment has seen a small increase at 5,954 as against 5,925 last year.

Combined, online and Troy campus enrollments are up about 1.5 percent from this time last year and are at their highest level in three years.

“We are pleased to see positive signs of enrollment growth at TROY, which is an indication that we are beginning to recover from the challenges of the post-COVID era,” said Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., chancellor. “I appreciate the efforts of all of our recruiters across the country to build and nurture relationships with students and their families and promote TROY as a place where faith, patriotism , leadership and relationships matter. While we are pleased that more students are choosing Troy University, there is still work to be done to overcome the challenges of a competitive enrollment market.”

This fall’s growth is driven in part by an increase in new students. New starts are up more than 3 percent this fall, a sign that TROY is bucking the national trend of declining freshman enrollment. Across the organization, TROY saw growth in several other areas. Nursing students are increasing by 7% year over year. International students are also trending up at the Troy campus, with a 27 percent drop from 483 last year to 617.

TROY’s overseas partner locations account for more than 7 percent of students. Agbotwala said TROY is serving more students in Vietnam than ever before.
