Brigadier General Yahya Sari, Spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces

Yemen’s armed forces have announced the deployment of a new ballistic missile against a “military” target in the southern part of the occupied territories in a fresh pro-Palestinian operation.

Brigadier General Yahya Sari, spokesman of the forces, announced this on Monday.

He identified the new projectile as a “Palestinian ballistic missile,” which he said was fired at a “military location” in the city of Umm al-Rasharish, also known as Eilat.

Saari said the missile was being “launched for the first time,” adding that the operation “successfully achieved its objective.”

Yemeni forces have carried out numerous operations in favor of Palestinians since the Israeli government launched a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip last October.

More than 36,470 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in the war, which began after retaliation by Gaza resistance movements.

In addition to targeting targets located in the occupied territories, Yemeni operations have also targeted Israeli ships or those moving towards ports in the territories.

“The armed forces will continue military operations in support of Gaza and in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people,” Sari asserted.

He concluded that these operations will continue as long as the Israeli government maintains the war and blockade it is simultaneously enforcing against the coastal strip.
