Survey: In the Yamuna River, local species of fish have decreased, foreign species have increased, 126 species of fish were found in the survey.

A five-member team under the direction of SIFRI Director Dr. BK Das began surveying the Yamuna River in 2021. Fish samples were taken three times a year from Madoka in Prayagraj, Chillaghat in Banda, Hamirpur, Pachnada, Mathura, Delhi, Yamunanagar in Haryana and Berkot in Uttarkashi. Read more
